Functional Medicine & Pathology Testing

Discover what your body is really telling you

Stop guessing. Start testing.

If you’ve been told “your bloods are fine” yet you still feel exhausted, can’t shift weight, and continue to struggle with ongoing symptoms.

it’s time to dig deeper.

I use functional medicine testing and comprehensive pathology analysis alongside your treatment plan to uncover the why behind your health concerns and create a personalised strategy for lasting results.

Why Testing Matters

Your body leaves clues that standard panels often miss. With advanced testing, we can:

  • Identify hidden drivers of weight gain, fatigue, and hormone imbalance

  • Detect nutrient deficiencies, inflammation, and metabolic dysfunction early

  • Personalise nutrition and lifestyle strategies to your unique biochemistry

  • Provide clarity so you stop wasting time, money, and energy on guesswork

Blood Pathology

Comprehensive panels that track metabolic health, inflammation, thyroid function, cardiovascular markers, and more.

Genetic Testing (including MTHFR)

Identify genetic variations that influence detoxification, energy production, and hormone metabolism, so we can support your health in the most effective way.

Microbiome Testing

Advanced stool analysis to assess gut bacteria, parasites, digestion, absorption, and inflammation — vital for immunity, weight, and overall wellbeing

Hair Mineral Analysis

Reveals mineral imbalances and heavy metal exposures that can affect metabolism, mood, and energy regulation.

Hormonal Testing

Detailed insights into oestrogen, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol, insulin, thyroid, and other key hormones driving energy, mood, and weight.

Saliva & Breath Testing

Useful for measuring adrenal stress (cortisol curve), hormone shifts, and digestive issues like small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) or food intolerances

Who This Is For

Testing is ideal if you are:

  • Stuck with unexplained symptoms despite “normal” results

  • Struggling with stubborn weight, fatigue, or hormonal changes

  • Wanting to prevent illness rather than react to it

  • Ready to invest in answers tailored to you, not a one-size-fits-all approach

Your body is already speaking. Let’s listen properly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a GP referral?

No. These tests are available directly through my practice. I will guide you on what’s most relevant for your situation and provide all the details you need to complete the process.

Are the tests done at home or in a clinic?

It depends on the type of test. Some (like saliva, stool, hair, or breath tests) can be completed at home with a kit. Blood pathology is usually done at a collection centre or local pathology lab.

How much do the tests cost?

Pricing varies depending on the type and number of tests. Some blood tests may be partly covered by Medicare if your GP requests them, but functional panels are usually out-of-pocket. We’ll always discuss costs before you decide.

How do I know which test is right for me?

I’ll recommend testing based on your symptoms, health history, and goals. The aim is to be targeted — not to run unnecessary panels.

What happens once I get my results?

I interpret your results through a functional medicine lens and explain them in plain language. You’ll receive a personalised plan that includes nutrition, lifestyle, and practical steps so you know exactly what to do next.

Can I use these tests for prevention, not just symptoms?

Absolutely. Many clients use functional testing as part of a proactive strategy to stay healthy, prevent disease, and optimise energy, hormones, and long-term wellbeing.
